In order to gain further understanding of our chosen genre, I did some added research into the expectations, styles and themes of our chosen genre of 'Indie Rock'. 

 

 

Expectations:

 

There are expectations for any music genre and these are often the style of the bands, the style of music that they produce, the way they come across to the audience etc. The main expectations of our chosen genre of indie rock include:

• Music including a singer, guitarist and drummer (vital to indie rock bands)

• The style is unique, often indie clothing worn involving sharp contrasting colours which are eye catching to the audience.

• Type of music played is different and unique, not something likely to be heard in the charts.
