In order to gain a better understanding of how to film the band for our music video, as a group we sat down and watched a few music videos which had band performance within them. As we watched the videos, we went through and noticed the camera shots that we particularly liked and thought would work well in our music video. In doing this piece of research, we were able to gain a clear understanding of the types of camera shots work effectively and we could therefore begin to plan the types of camera shots that we can use in our video. Watching professional music videos is the best way to get a clear understanding of the most effective ways to film a band performance.
